Universities Wales statement on the passing of Hefin David MS

"We are deeply saddened to hear about the death of Hefin David MS. 

"We have worked closely with Hefin over the years. As a former lecturer, he was a great supporter and advocate of higher education, not least in his role as Chair of the Cross Party Group on Universities. 

"A passionate politician and campaigner, his passing will be a big loss to the Senedd and to the communities which he served. 

"Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues."
