AVE’s mission is to accelerate climate action by delivering deployable DAC systems that meet the needs of high-emitting industries, supporting their journey to net zero. To date AVE has raised £800,000 to drive forward innovation and ready their systems for deployment.

Founders Simon Oliver and Matthew Tucker have known each other since before university, but it was during their time at Swansea University studying Mechanical Engineering that they discovered their complementary skills and passion for Direct Air Capture (DAC)—a partnership that continues to drive Air View Engineering forward.

“Our time at Swansea University, particularly studying mechanical engineering, really set us up for what we are doing now.

"The course itself - its structure, the access to the resources and facilities - was something that was really key to us, especially with the additive manufacturing and 3D printing aspects of our business. Without that we wouldn't be where we are today.”
