Universities Wales response to the announcement of the preferred candidate for Chief Executive of the CTER
Commenting on the announcement of Simon Pirotte as the preferred candidate for Chief Executive of the Commission for Tertiary Education and Research (CTER), Professor Elizabeth Treasure, the Universities Wales Chair, said:

“We are delighted that Simon has been announced as the preferred candidate for the new Commission. He has worked collaboratively with universities both individually and collectively, including through the development of proposals to support student well-being across post-16, and his constructive approach is valued by colleagues.
“If the Commission is to deliver real benefits for Wales, and support providers to do so, this collaborative, partnership-based approach will be vital.”
