Response from Universities Wales to OIA publication of student complaint numbers for England and Wales
In response to the recent OIA publication of student complaint numbers for England and Wales, a Universities Wales spokesperson said:

“Last week the Office of the Independent Adjudicator published student complaints numbers for 2022.
“This was widely reported in the media as student complaints about university courses in England and Wales reaching a record high for a fourth year running.
“While the combined complaint numbers for England and Wales are indeed up, we note that this does not present a full picture of complaints in Wales. The number of complaints made against Welsh universities has decreased – from 138 complaints in 2021, down to 114 complaints in 2022."
